Dave R. Smith was employed with Austeel at the time of the Nucor acquisition, as their plant manager. Dave began his career with Nucor at Nucor Steel – Indiana. Later he moved to Nucor Steel – Berkeley. Before coming to Utah, he was the General Manager, Vice President of Nucor Steel – Auburn. He is currently the General Manager, Vice President of Nucor Steel – Utah. He joined the Utah team June 29, 2008.

Dave and his wife Marsha make their home in Huntsville, Utah. They have two sons, Sam and Brian, and a daughter, Kim.
