In May of 2003, Mark was named Tremonton Plant Manager for the Malt-O-Meal Company.  He was responsible for the “green field” start-up of the Tremonton, Utah cereal manufacturing facility (Malt-O-Meal’s first plant outside of Minnesota).  Initially, Mark led the commissioning of two production lines as well as expansion of two more lines, each with unique processes.   The Tremonton Malt-O-Meal plant produces products distributed nationwide with primary focus on the intermountain west and western United States.  

Mark’s ongoing responsibilities include all aspects of manufacturing.  His high performing teams focus on personal and food safety, quality, environmental compliance, sanitation, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.  Mark is also responsible for community relations and charitable functions.  In November of 2009 the Tremonton Plant received the MEP Growth and Transformation Utah Manufacturer of the Year Award.

Prior to Malt-O-Meal, Mark worked at Heinz Frozen Foods, Inc. and McCain Foods USA, Inc. in various progressive management positions for a combined 27 years of food manufacturing experience.

Mark has served as a past board member of both the Ore-Ida Employees Credit Union and Pocatello Paintfest, has been a member of Rotary International, an adult committee member of the Boys Scouts of America, and a member of the Utah Manufacturing Association currently serving as a board member. 

Mark earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Boise State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Idaho State University.

Mark and his wife, Laurie, reside in Tremonton and are the parents of three children.
