Greg Fredde

Merit Medical Systems, Inc.
Greg Fredde is currently Vice President of Government Affairs and Business
Development for Merit Medical Systems, Inc., headquartered in South Jordan,
Utah. In his capacity with Merit, Mr. Fredde oversees all local, state, federal,
and international government relations for Merit's six operating facilities
located in Santa Clara, California; Angleton, Texas; Chester, Virginia, Galway,
Ireland; and Masstrict, The Netherlands.
In 2005, Merit successfully lobbied passage of state legislation limiting the
product liability medical device manufacture's assume when their products are
willfully used contrary to the device's design, testing, and labeling. Utah
became the first state in the nation to pass this type of legislation.
In addition to his government relations responsibilities, Mr. Fredde is responsible
for new business development for Merit. This includes potential product acquisitions
and distribution agreements.
Prior to working with Merit, Mr. Fredde was President of the Utah Mining Association
from 2001-2003. Mr. Fredde also served as Vice President of the Utah Taxpayers
Association and has worked in a variety of local, state, and federal positions
including the U.S. Department of State, State of Utah Community and Economic
Development, and Ogden City's Mayor's Office.
In all, 2006 will mark Mr. Fredde's 12th year on Capitol Hill representing
Utah's business community.
Mr. Fredde is a graduate from the University of Utah and has a Bachelor of
Science degree in Political Science.
Mr. Fredde lives with his three children in Highland, Utah.
